Thailand-based design office ALBATROSS MARINE DESIGN is develop-

ing a conceptual design of an eco-vessel for cleaning water areas.

The vessel is a catamaran 10m hull length, 4.5m of hull beam with a shallow draft. Between the hulls there is a remov- able basket for collecting floating debris and garbage.

The vessel is fully environmentally friendly – propulsion by electric drive, as well as an array of solar panels in combination with recharging from a shore power source.

The ship's control station is located on the deck. The craft has basic sanitary space and storage in the hulls as well as battery compar tments.

Material for the hull is composite (basic option) or aluminum alloy. The demi-hulls are connected by beams and a bridge deck, so the craft can be disassembled for shipping.

These inexpensive and highly maneuverable vessels with their shallow draft are useful for cleaning water near beaches, marinas, embankments, and ports.
