Below Deck Mediterranean season eight teased by Bravo

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Below Deck.

stars’ jobs are not without their challenges, especially when many of them are often “hungover”.

The sea-set reality series is making a comeback for its 11th outing at the start of next month where more mayhem is expected from the new crew on board the St David.

While it may be the crew’s job to act professionally at all times, it is easier said than done when many of them love to spend their free time drinking, often causing mayhem on deck.

Hair and make-up artist Natalie Castillo, who has previously worked on Below Deck, Below Deck Mediterranean and Below Deck Adventures, opened up on working behind the scenes.

She explained how one of the biggest impacts on her job was the excessive drinking during filming.

“When they’re hungover and they come in, hair and makeup, does it make my job a little harder? Of course, it does!” Castillo joked to CheatSheet.

“There’s been so many times where a cast member has come to my chair and sat down in the hair and makeup room and I’m like, ‘Oh, you had vodka last night?'

In the latest series of Below Deck, stew Camille Lamb was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn for causing issues with other members of the team.

She also had a run-in with Chief Stew Fraser Olender on a couple of occasions prior to the guests arriving, regarding her drinking on the job, ultimately leading to her departure.

One look hair and make-up artist Castillo doesn’t want to take responsibility for though was Fraser’s orange glow in the season nine confessional.

She insisted she wasn’t working on that series and hoped “people don’t think that I did that!

“I think what happened with Fraser is whoever did his makeup was just genuinely newer to the industry.

“But specifically for men’s grooming, less is more.

“I would never go in with a heavy foundation for any of the guys because they don’t need it.”

Below Deck season 11, which premieres on Monday, February 5, on Bravo, will be the dawn of a new era following Captain Lee Rosbach’s departure.

He quit the show due to health reasons with Captain Sandy Yawn temporarily taking over his position in season 10.

But it was announced last year that his permanent replacement would be Below Deck Adventure’s Captain Kerry Titheradge who will be making his mark in the upcoming 11th series.

Below Deck season 11 premieres on Monday, February 5, on Bravo.
