info@easybranches.comEveryone's linking up with The Minions. After Pharrell unveiled his contribution – a track called "Double Life" – to Despicable Me 4 two weeks back, Lil Yachty is now hopping on the yellow-hued wave. The rapper recently shared his "Lil Mega Minion" single, which is slated to appear on the film's soundtrack and comes complete with a Lyrical Lemonade music video – and it features appearances from Zane Lowe, Cole Bennett and, of course, Kevin, Bob and Stuart, who are posted up in the studio with Yachty.
"So tell me, what are you looking for in a theme song?" Lowe poses to the five minions who sit in his office.
Bennett strides in and gets Yachty on the line, much to The Minions' excitement, muttering "Yachty!" in Minionese.
Yachty hops in the booth with The Minions on the mixers, contributing adlibs – chomping sounds, 'ooohs,' and other expressive utterances – as well as triangle clangs.
"The jig is up / I'm back in town / You my lil minion / You follow me around," the rapper croons on the chorus. "I make you smile / Ain't never tryna see you frown / I get deep in your mouth / Like a crown / Imma lift the whole school / Off the ground / Imma hit her off T like, 'Wow.'"
