SAR sailor Nicholas Halliday on Saturday improved his overall ranking in the men's dinghy, going up by three places. The 25-year-old completed two more races – coming in 6th place in the second one – on the third day of the event. Halliday has four more races to go over the next two days in Marseille. He is now ranked 25th out of 43 sailors. The 10 participants with the fewest points advance to the medal race. The winner of each race is awarded one point, and the runner-up two, and so on. After excluding his worst race, Halliday is now on 89 net points, compared with 63 for Juan Ignacio Maegli of Guatemala in 10th place.
