info@easybranches.comThe newest megayacht from the drawing board of Dörries Yachts is downright heavenly.
Named after Zephyrus, the god of the west wind in Greek mythology, Zephyr spans some 378 feet (115.2 meters) and offers ample space for relaxing or entertaining at sea.
“Zephyr represents a harmonious balance of bold creativity and enduring style, making it a standout in any era,” Dörries Yachts CEO Henning Dörries told Robb Report via email.
Penned in collaboration with British studio H2 Yacht Design, the all-white vessel cuts an elegant profile, with long, sleek lines running from the sharply pointed bow to the sculpted stern. The four decks are cleverly positioned to create expansive open spaces for sun worshippers forward and aft. The aft decks are also equipped with glass bulwarks to ensure uninterrupted ocean views.
“The final design is not only stunning but also boasts a timeless appeal with modern surfacing and meticulous detailing,” added H2 owner Jonny Horsfield. “Featuring expansive glass and spacious outdoor decks, Zephyr epitomizes the contemporary preferences of today’s discerning clientele.”
The interior is sure to be gargantuan, though Dörries has yet to specify the gross tonnage. The German shipyard also didn’t share any details regarding the layout of the living quarters, but pictures of the exterior show that Zephyr will certainly not be short on luxury amenities.
Starting at the top, the sundeck is adorned with a plunge pool and sun pads forward and a large circular lounge aft. Alfresco dining areas big enough for 12 and more plush lounges grace the next two decks, while an inviting Jacuzzi occupies pride of place in the bow. The bow is so long it can also accommodate a helicopter that can be used for comings and goings. The owner’s suite will likely have private access to the bow area, as is customary with many high-end cruisers.
The real pièce de résistance is the swimming pool on the main deck, though: The striking body of water is flanked by sun beds and affords sweeping vistas out to sea. Two sets of stairs lead from the aft of the main deck to the swim platform below. The sizable platform offers direct access to the water and a garage stocked with all the requisite water toys. It is also dotted with sunbeds for any seafarers looking to chill by the ocean.
Dörries Yachts has unveiled some pretty extraordinary megayachts and explorers over the past few years, but Zephyr is perhaps one of the most divine designs. The best part? The megyacht is up for sale. More details will be announced at the Monaco Yacht Show in late September, with a full sales brochure also available to interested buyers.
