Held aboard the lavish 32-metre charter yacht ONEWORLD, the official launch party for this year’s SailGP on Sydney Harbour was hosted by Tom Slingsby and the Australia SailGP Team, introducing team members to media, influencers and sailing enthusiasts ahead of the event 8 & 9 February.

Cruising picturesque Sydney Harbour aboard one of its premium charter vessels, guests were able take in the iconic sights of the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, the beaches, bays and landmarks, while hearing from Tom Slingsby and team members Natasha Bryant, Nina Curtis and Chris Draper.

Not only is Sydney SailGP’s most visited venue but it also bears the mantle as the league’s birthplace, with the first ever event taking place here in 2019.

Ahead of returning to Sydney, home driver Tom Slingsby reflected on the team’s stunning win in Auckland, how they mastered the new, high-speed T-Foils in record time and how the ‘Flying Roos’ are preparing to stun home crowds when racing gets underway.
