Ponant has announced a rebranding to Ponant Explorations Group following its acquisition of a majority stake in Aqua Expeditions in January. The company says this change aligns with its strategy to expand its presence in the international exploration voyage market and build a growing portfolio of specialised brands.

Ponant Explorations Group operates high-end exploration voyages with small ships that carry fewer than 500 guests. Now, the company is expanding its brand portfolio, incorporating specialised operators in destination-focused expedition cruising.
