Editor's Note: On The Horizon

This week, as the Palm Beach Yacht show makes waves across the pond, here in Europe we’ve been looking into the future of some of the industry’s finest.

In fact, our lead story this week celebrates the keel-laying of Nobiskrug’s intriguing 77m, Project Shark; a superyacht that we can’t wait to watch come to fruition. With Imperial Yachts orchestrating the sale of the Winch-vision back in April 2018, it’s wonderful to finally catch a sneak peak of a superyacht that we know very little about.

In other shipyard news, CRN also allowed us to indulge in their latest build this week, when they shared images of M/Y 135 on the slipway. The latest to emerge from a very busy shed, the 79m will follow in the footsteps of success stories such as Cloud 9 and Latona. We look forward to her imminent launch.

Our other insights this week include an interior exploration of VSY-built Sealyon. With a minimal approach to glamour, the Candy&Candy-designed space could be yours, offered for sale with brokerage, IYC. Other designs that caught our eye this week were those of Italian designer, Tommaso Spadolini. From his Florence-based studio, he gave us an insight into four future projects which include the refit of a Baglietto and 20m sailing yacht, Lady Stella.

In brokerage news, Bernard Gally announced the successful sale of sailing sloop, Damahwil and we celebrated the beauty of Andiamo, available for charter through agents at Hill Robinson.

Elsewhere, we’re already looking forward to the next yacht show. With Dubai on the horizon, writer Anna Solomon has produced a fail-safe guide for visitors. See you there!
