Editor’s Note: Launches, Sea Trials, Deliveries & More

Last week, we at Superyachts.com brought the news of an active market showing no signs of slowing for the summer season. This week, we hope you will find we’ve done the same, with our lead story showcasing the latest delivery from CRN, the beautiful M/Y 135.

But CRN wasn’t the only Italian shipyard making waves. Benetti continued on their launching spree this week, with the launch of Bacchanal, the latest 47m from the builders’ yard in sunny Viareggio. Bacchanal is ‘just another’ superyacht in a long chain of recent Benetti launches, signalling no signs of slowing on Italy’s shipbuilding coasts.

Further north and in The Netherlands, renowned shipyard, Amels were also breaking news of big-builds. The yard announced that construction has begun on the second collaboration between renowned shipyard Amels and Moncao-based design mastermind Espen Øino. We look forward to welcoming the yacht to the ever-growing fleet in 2022.

Meanwhile and around the corner in Oss, Heesen had released footage of 50m M/Y Erica leaving the yard to undergo her sea trials. Formerly known as Project Boreas, we hope all those involved enjoy a successful first cruise on board.

Nevertheless, it wasn’t all new yacht news. The beautiful 76.6m explorer, Yersin was added to the charter market with worldwide Central Agents, SuperYachtsMonaco. Offering world travel alongside education, the news of this appointment has inspired us to broaden our horizons when it comes to the next big charter experience.

In fact, explorers were another hot topic this week, with writer, Anna Solomon interviewing shipyard Rossetti’s CEO on breaking into the explorer market. With the industry looking ever-more to global exploration, learned how the yard is looking to make its mark on this, now well-established trend.

Last, but by no means least, we had a number of updates from the brokerage industry. While Monaco Yacht Show announced details of their Upper Deck Lounge for 2019, we wait in anticipation of this year’s largest brokerage show. In addition, brokers at Burgess announced their appointment as Central Agents for the sale of iconic 73m Feadship, Hasna.

So while the updates continue to roll in, stick with Superyachts.com for all the latest news and have a wonderful weekend!
